Stamp Club projects

These are the 2 projects we made at our Stamp Club this month.  Enjoy

This first one was inspired by Jackie Tillman, from something she shared at our Stampers with Sparkle team meeting last week.  The technique is called 'thumping' and is very simple to do.  You ink the whole turkey in Crushed Curry ink and then take all the 'in-color' markers and with the brush tip end, you just thump the marker up and down onto the inked turkey 4 or 5 times.  Then switch marker colors and repeat until you have 'thumped' color onto the turkey with all of the markers.  Then, stamp on your white cardstock.  Before stamping on the cardstock, I took the Soft Suede marker and colored the turkey body so that it was solid looking, a mix of crushed curry and soft suede.

This is another one from the "For All You Do" stamp set.  We got this set as a gift while on the Hawaii incentive trip this year.  It's one of my favorites...did I say that already?  Well, it is.  There are 2 techniques here...'rock and roll' and kissing.  This card design is from SU! and I just love it.

 

Stamp Camp Projects

Here are the projects we made at our stamp camp yesterday.  The theme was fall and Thanksgiving. Hope you like them.

This next one is a Ruth original.  What do you think?  I love that we can use the new Ornament Punch, from the current Holiday Mini Catalog, as an ornament or a vase.  There are other uses too...faces!  This is a GREAT buy if you don't have it already.

Christmas Cards

We made these cards at my Christmas Card class last weekend.  The next and final Christmas Card class, for this year, is on November 13th at 7:30 pm and November 14th at 9:30 am.  The cards we make during the November classes will be different than those made at previous classes the past few months.  Hope you can join us.

This card uses the stamp set Serene Snowflakes, and the Platinum Shimmer Paint, both found in the the Holiday Mini catalog on pages 26 and 27.

Here's a closeup so you can see the shimmer effect.

This sample uses Delightful Decorations stamp set and the Ornament Punch on pages 24 and 25 of the Holiday Mini catalog.  The ink, cardstock and ribbon are Rich Razzleberry, one of the new in-colors for this year.  The background is made using the Big Shot machine and the Textured Impressions Folder 'Petals-A-Planty' from page 21 of the Holiday Mini catalog.

This card was made with Brushed Silver cardstock and we embossed the silver tree.  It was fun decorating with the rhinestones.  Isn't it pretty with the green.  I tried it with blue first but I think this is really pretty.  What do you think?

This is another embossing project and cutting out of the flowers.  We raised the flowers with multiple layers of Dimensionals. 

You can't see the Dazzling Diamonds glitter on this card but it's in the middle of the 3 flowers at the top.  The Rhinestone in the middle of 'JOY' adds the perfect finishing touch.

Quilt Card

I rarely have time to put out instructions for a card but I promised Bonnie that I would.  I've sent them to her in an email but thought others might like to try to make it also.  Let me know if you have any questions.

The colors are true in this picture of the actual card.  The others, step by steps, were taken in different lighting so they look different.

The stamp set is "Puns from the Past" # 111676

First cut your card base to 4x8" so when folded it's 4x4

 

 

Cut the layered piece to 3 7/8"

 

 

 

Cut 2 pieces of matching card base color - 1 1/2"

 

 

just showing you the cut into 4 diagonal pieces

 

you'll have 8 triangles when finished cutting the 2 pieces

Your sewing machine gets stamped onto a 1 5/8" white piece of cardstock

 

Then I found it easier to mount that onto another piece of matching Green Galore cut to 1 7/8"

 

Then, layer the white onto the green and put adhesive on the back and place 'LIGHTLY' onto the front of the card.  You'll need to move it around slightly as you place the triangles around the edges.  Once you get the 4 triangles around all 4 sides, you can press hard to adhere the sewing machine piece down.

 

Then stitch with black marker.  VIOLA!

 

Ornament Punch for Vase

This is a card I designed this morning.  I love these colors.  They are all new In-colors and I think they're so fallish.  This set is "For All You Do" and is one of my favorites in the catalog. This card was made for Joan Kertz, one of my downline team members in St. Louis, MO.  Hope she likes it.

Do you recognize the vase?  It's the Ornament Punch from the new Holiday Mini Catalog with just the bottom tip cut off.  Creative huh...I saw it somewhere.  Not my original idea.

Upcoming Stamp Camp Project

Here is one of my projects for an upcoming stamp camp on October 23rd at 7:00pm.  I hope you can make it.  RSVP by October 20th.  If you're not on my EVITE list, let me know and I'll add you.  This is the 3-d item we'll make.  Yummy in his tummy.

The other projects will be Fall themed and you can personalize with the greeting of your choice.

Various Samples

Have you seen our Décor Elements Brochure?  If not, you might want to take a look.  Here's a sample of the "Flurry" set of 10 snowflakes in white - # 117753.  I bought a clear glass plate and applied the snowflake in about a minute.  It's pretty in the picture but prettier in person.

Isn't this next sample beautiful.  It was made by one of my newest recruits, Claudia Zell.  She came over to see how a stamp club is run and brought this sample.  I had to take a picture and we will be making it at some upcoming event.  It uses the Big Shot , the "SwirlY" decorative sizzlit strip die, and the Daisy Die.  The the stamp set used is "Only Ovals" then it's punched with the Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches.  See the polka dots on the yellow background?  They are so faint and add just the right background.  That is done with the "Backgrounds 1" Texturz Plate.  The center of the daisy is made with the 'Build a Brad.'  It's so lovely.  Claudia is so creative and talented and I'm excited to have her join my team of "Stampers with Sparkle."
