When Stampin' Up! came out with Copper Foil in the Holiday catalog, I squealed in delight. I love the foils but I knew the copper would be my favorite. Yep, it sure is. I just can't get enough of it. I knew I wanted to stamp leaves all over it so I grabbed the Vintage Leaves stamp set and randomly stamped leaves all over the foil with black StazOn ink. You have to use the StazOn ink because the foil is nonporous. If you used our water based inks, the ink would never dry on the foil. The result below is what I was looking to achieve and I really love it. I hope you like it also. Here are two images. The one on the right really captures the copper color of the foil. I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I'm posting both.
After I finished with the leaves and mounted it on basic black cardstock, it was missing something. So, I grabbed the black metallic thread and wrapped it around the copper foil several times. Viola....that's what it needed. I mounted the copper foil to the basic black with dimensionals. The Greeting is from the Suite Seasons stamp set in the holiday catalog. I cut the sentiment out with the Lots of Labels Framelits and mounted that onto the card with dimensionals. This is a super easy and quick card but I think it's very elegant. Hope you like it.
