Mixed Bunch

Whew, taxes were mailed today.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute.  I actually had them done last Thursday but just signed them and put in the mail today.  Glad that's over for another year :-)

This is one of my favorite stamp sets in the Occasions Mini catalog.  I'll be sad to see it go at the end of April.  I hope it is in the new catalog but you just never know.

My sister, Donna, sent me this card for my birthday and I just love it.  When you open it, the black scallop separates and opens up on the opposite side of the white oval.  Very cool.  It uses the Scallop Frame Bigz Die and the Big Shot.  It looks complicated but it's not.

Petite Purse Bigz L Die

I have not had time to play with my new die yet but here's what the die looks like and what a simple purse looks like.  Even simple is ADORABLE.  Use as a favor at showers, weddings, luncheons.  Would make a cute place card setting for a special occasion.  Fill with candy, jewelry, any small gift or a gift card.  Oh, I can not wait to be able to play with this on Friday, my day off work.  woo hoo.

3-D Labels Collection Framelits Die - Favor

Our Framelits Dies are so awesome.  They not only make great cards but look at this cute little 3-d favor.  You could put a cello bag with candy/chocolate in there or jelly beans or even a gift card.  You run 2 pieces of cardstock through the Label Collection Framelit die (largest).  Cut about 1" off the bottom of each and then score about 1" from the edge of each bottom.  Line the bottom of one flap with sticky strip and adhere over the top of the other flap.  Bring the tops together and punch with a circle punch and adorn with ribbon, DSP and I stamped the frilly flower from the Mixed Bunch stamp set #125535 (w) or #125537 (c) and punched with the Blossom Punch #125603 and adhered with a Dimensional.  Not super hard but it looks like it was :-)

These are the nested Labels Collection Framelits Dies, there are 6 that perfectly nest/frame the next.  #125598.  They are designed to use with your Big Shot Machine.

Fresh Vintage with Stampin' Write Markers

Here's another March Stamp Camp card.  It uses the Fresh Vintage stamp set from the Sale-a-bration Mini catalog.

We used Peach Parfait and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to color the image on the stamp.  Then stamped on whisper white cardstock and cut out the image with the Big Shot and the Bigz Die Scallop Circle #2.  We cut the Soft Suede cardstock with the Bigz Clear Circle Die.  The sentiment is Loving Thoughts stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Everyday Enchantment pack in the Sale-a-bration (SAB) mini catalog.  The Basic Rhinestone Jewels give just the right amount of bling.

St. Patrick's Day Pop-Up and Spring Butterfly Card

Here are 2 cards we made for club last night.  The ladies loved them.  The St Patrick's Day is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the inside 'Celebrate' is from the Outline Occasions set in the Sale-a-brations(SAB) catalog.  The butterfly card is from the Fresh Vintage set in the Sale-a-bration catalog. 

One of these days I'm going to get into the video/tutorial world and then I could just send you to my video to watch me make my cards.  But I'm just not there YET.

The Square Lattice Embossing folder was used with the Big Shot Machine to create the textured background and it's done with a piece of 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 piece of Vellum Cardstock.  It's such a cool affect when it turns the raised portion of the vellum to white.  We heat embossed the St. Patrick's Day by stamping with Garden Green Craft ink and then covering with Clear Embossing Powder and then heat seting with our heat gun. Then flip it over and use our coordinating Stamin' Write Markers to color inside the outlined words.  It looks messy when you're coloring but when you flip it back to the right side, it's beautiful.  This technique of coloring is called Stained Glass.  After coloring the vellum, we used the Labels Collection Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the St. Patrick's Day image and the next size up for the mat behind it.  We used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the vellum to weave the new 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon through.  The colors used on this card are Lucky Limeade (new In-color) and Garden Green.

Simply Scored, Window Sheets, Sticky Strip, and Heart to Heart punch were used to pop the hearts up.

The colors for the butterfly card are inspired from the flowers blooming in my front yard this week!  Last night snow....not much but the flowers are confused.  The daffodils are budding and the tulips are coming up.  We are having crazy weather.  

This card layout is inspired from my sister Donna.  Thanks sis.  As demonstrators and sisters, we love sharing ideas with each other and, it keeps us close even though we're hundreds of miles apart.

Wonderful Wings Embosslit, Big Shot, Fresh Vintage stamp set. Pearls for the big butterfly. Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker.  It's hard to see that we colored in the flowers and dots with the marker, which pulls the colors together nicely.  Concord Crush is an in-color that will be going away in a few months.  I will miss it.
