Crazy for Cupcakes is such a fun set and I'm sad to see it go. Cupcakes are such the rage still and this set is so versatile.
I love this card. I get excited when I design something out of thin air and it turns out this good. Well, I like it anyway.
The Mocha Morning Specialty DSP is so yummy. It even has a yummy name. The DSP is retiring and so is the Stamp Set - Happiest Birthday Wishes, # 122615 (wood) or 122617 (clear). It's a hostess only stamp set but can be yours with an order of $150 or more. I think it's the best hostess set in the catalog. I use it a lot and will certainly miss it when May 31st comes around.
Both of these stamp sets are so versatile. Sincere Salutations, #115068 is one of the best sets in the catalog...sadly it is retiring. The leaves are from Autumn Splendor - #116503 and it is fabulous to work with in so many ways...embossing, brayering, watercoloring, and more. This is simply embossed with black embossing powder. If you click on the image, you can see the shine of the embossed leaves. There are countless ways to change the look of this stamp set which is all leaves. Boo hoo that it's retiring.
I've been trying to get back to the basics lately and that includes heat embossing. There was a while when I totally forgot about embossing powder and embossing and I don't know why because it's one of my favorite techniques. It's easy and gives such a wow factor. The platinum EP is so beautiful. At first I thought it can't be that different than silver but boy was I WRONG. It is stunning. This card uses fun things from both the Occasions Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration catalog. Don't you just love the new pleated ribbon. Perfect pleats every time. That does my heart good. Although I am trying not to be so A type...it's a hard habit to kick. lol...in fact I'm looking at this now and thinking I stamped that Happy Birthday a little high on the right side. Oh well...I'll get over it. It's hand made, right. It's not supposed to be perfect.
