Here's another card designed with the Sale-a-bration set 'Petal Parade.' I wanted something different than my usual style...whatever that is. So, I stamped the flower 3 times on Whisper White cardstock and then punched one with the 1 3/8" cirecle punch, another with the 1 1/4" circle punch and the last one with the 1" circle punch. I popped the largest one up with 1 layer of dimensionals, the middle one with no dimensionals and the smallest one I stacked 2 dimensionals on top of each other so that it was popped up the highest. Then layered on rectangles. The Thank You is stamped with the 'So Very Grateful' stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog then punched out with the Modern Label Punch. We made this at my Stamp Club today. I thought this could be a masculine card. To frilly it up a bit, you could use the scallop punches and some bling.
I had a picture of this cute bunny saved and had been wanting to make him for a long time. Stamp Camp made me spring into action. I added the grass, egg and butterfly just because those things go hand in hand with the Easter theme. I think it turn out really cute. I made a template for the bunny(below). He's all punches! The ladies at the Stamp Camp loved this. What do you think?
Here are 2 cards we made for club last night. The ladies loved them. The St Patrick's Day is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the inside 'Celebrate' is from the Outline Occasions set in the Sale-a-brations(SAB) catalog. The butterfly card is from the Fresh Vintage set in the Sale-a-bration catalog.
One of these days I'm going to get into the video/tutorial world and then I could just send you to my video to watch me make my cards. But I'm just not there YET.
If you're coming to my Stamp Camp on Saturday, Feb 25th, we'll be making a similar pop-up card. You'll get hands-on how to make this type of fun card.If you're local to Northern VA, and are not on my EVITE list for stamp camps, just send an email to me and I'll happily add you.
The Square Lattice Embossing folder was used with the Big Shot Machine to create the textured background and it's done with a piece of 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 piece of Vellum Cardstock. It's such a cool affect when it turns the raised portion of the vellum to white. We heat embossed the St. Patrick's Day by stamping with Garden Green Craft ink and then covering with Clear Embossing Powder and then heat seting with our heat gun. Then flip it over and use our coordinating Stamin' Write Markers to color inside the outlined words. It looks messy when you're coloring but when you flip it back to the right side, it's beautiful. This technique of coloring is called Stained Glass. After coloring the vellum, we used the Labels Collection Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the St. Patrick's Day image and the next size up for the mat behind it. We used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the vellum to weave the new 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon through. The colors used on this card are Lucky Limeade (new In-color) and Garden Green.
Simply Scored, Window Sheets, Sticky Strip, and Heart to Heart punch were used to pop the hearts up. side view so you can see the hearts popped up
The colors for the butterfly card are inspired from the flowers blooming in my front yard this week! Last night snow....not much but the flowers are confused. The daffodils are budding and the tulips are coming up. We are having crazy weather.
This card layout is inspired from my sister Donna. Thanks sis. As demonstrators and sisters, we love sharing ideas with each other and, it keeps us close even though we're hundreds of miles apart.
Wonderful Wings Embosslit, Big Shot, Fresh Vintage stamp set. Pearls for the big butterfly. Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker. It's hard to see that we colored in the flowers and dots with the marker, which pulls the colors together nicely. Concord Crush is an in-color that will be going away in a few months. I will miss it.
Okay, so maybe I was getting a little ahead of myself with all of the Christmas cards but it's not too early to start stamping your holiday cards so I wanted to give you some ideas.
Let's backtrack to the next holiday coming up...Halloween. I used to decorate a lot for Halloween but not so much since it's just Mike, I and Brandy. I did want to make a few things to put out for the occasion though and so I'm making a bunch of these. What do you think? The candle is one of those battery operated kinds...no fire hazard. The Haunted Forest stamp works perfectly with the 2 1/2" circle punch and I'm happy with the results. Click on the image for a larger look.
I embossed the black cardstock with the spider web embossing folder and Big Shot after I created the box with the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die with the Big Shot.
