I love this card. I get excited when I design something out of thin air and it turns out this good. Well, I like it anyway.
The Mocha Morning Specialty DSP is so yummy. It even has a yummy name. The DSP is retiring and so is the Stamp Set - Happiest Birthday Wishes, # 122615 (wood) or 122617 (clear). It's a hostess only stamp set but can be yours with an order of $150 or more. I think it's the best hostess set in the catalog. I use it a lot and will certainly miss it when May 31st comes around.

Just in time for graduation. The Designer Series Paper is Mocha Morning Specialty - # 122366. I LOVE this DSP and will really miss it when it's gone. There are pages with flocking and it's just such a rich looking DSP and masculine. The stamp set is not retiring but it's a great one to own, Word Play # 120308 -wood, #120651 -clear. Lots of variety in this set. The gold brushed cardstock really makes this card beautiful and the stars finish the graduation look. The Stars Die, which works with the Big Shot Machine is sadly going to retire :-( # 113461 I will REALLY miss this die. Enjoy
The path is paved with good intentions...mine always are but I just always seem to run behind. lol. Leadership in San Antonio was fabulous and I still need to post more from that event. I did want to post the gifts I made for my downline and my roomies though. It's an altered clipboard and I had such fun making them. They do take a while but they were so worth it and everyone loved them. I hope you like this sample that I made for Terri. The 'Friends' is from Vintage Vogue. The clipboard is covered with the Neutrals Patterns DSP. I cut the cork into 4x4 and put a double layer down with a hot glue gun, courtesy of my MIL(only the 2nd time I've ever used one of those....I think I need to buy myself one).
The photo corners punch is retired but I just love it for things like this so I'll never sell it. The calendars were purchased online. The rest is self explanatory...I think. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
I've been trying to get back to the basics lately and that includes heat embossing. There was a while when I totally forgot about embossing powder and embossing and I don't know why because it's one of my favorite techniques. It's easy and gives such a wow factor. The platinum EP is so beautiful. At first I thought it can't be that different than silver but boy was I WRONG. It is stunning. This card uses fun things from both the Occasions Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration catalog. Don't you just love the new pleated ribbon. Perfect pleats every time. That does my heart good. Although I am trying not to be so A type...it's a hard habit to kick. lol...in fact I'm looking at this now and thinking I stamped that Happy Birthday a little high on the right side. Oh well...I'll get over it. It's hand made, right. It's not supposed to be perfect. I just can't get enough of the FREE Designer Series Paper (DSP) Everyday Enchantment - page 7 of the Sale-a-bration (SAB) catalog . Remember, when you purchase $50 from the big IB&C or the Occasions Mini catalogs you receive a free pick, your choice, from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I think this DSP is one of my all time favorites. The Framelits are wonderful too. I'm so glad SU! is designing them for us. I hope they come out with LOTS more. I know I'll want them all. The Apothecary Art is my absolute FAVORITE stamp set in the new Occasions Mini catalog. The minute I saw it, I had to have it.
Here is a card we made on Saturday at one of my UL meetings. We had a great time. You can't really tell but we used the new Big Shot die 'Designer Rosette' for the bottom of the card, with the Everyday Enchantment DSP. It creates a crease/pleat every 1/2 inch. It's really beautiful in person.
