Easter Card - Stamp Camp

We made a few Easter cards at Stamp Camp.  I'll show you mine tomorrow, on Easter.  I think it's among my top 5 favorite cards of all time.

Here is another Brenda.  Brenda took my Easter card sample and modified it to her taste.  I think she's quite creative and I'll be copying her card in the near future for my personal use.  Thanks for the idea Brenda. You can click on the picture for a closer look.

Supplies used between all 3 versions:  Big Shot, Lattice Die, Little Leaves sizzlit die, Tulip Frame embossing folder, Pearls, Flower Fancy stamp set - pg 100, Easter Blossoms stamp set - Occasions mini catalog.

Watercolor Wonder Crayons

This is another card that my Clubs are making this month.  It's a cool technique that I always forget to show.  My club members have been asking about the Watercolor Crayons and so I'm doing a different technique with them for a few months.  This one is done with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and the Versa Marker.  First stamp you line art image with black StazOn ink.  Then you pick the crayon color up with the tip of your Versa Marker, right off the tip of the crayon and then color the image in. When you're finished coloring, pour clear embossing powder on and then tap off excess powder and heat.  I was able to catch the gloss of the flower so you can see the technique results really well.  I didn't do the leaves so that you could see the difference.  Some of the ladies colored and embossed the leaves too and they were really pretty.  This flower is from Flower Fancy, which is one of my favorite sets.  I know, I say that a lot but they are all my favorites.  This flower is completely different than the one from this set that we used last month in our stamp camp.  Go back a few posts to see that.  I don't know how to link back for you...still learning these things.  I then swiped a sponge in bliss blue for the sky and wild wasabi for the grass.  The ribbon was white but we sponged wild wasabi to turn it green.  The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake, which is in the Occasions Mini and available until the end of April.  The inside sentiment is from the same set.  This card is called an Easel Card and you can see why from the bottom picture.  Enjoy.

 

 

Stamp Camp Projects

Oh my gosh, I had been doing so well.  I think I got so caught up in the Stampin' Birthday Party preparations and Stamp Camp prep, that I forgot to post on Friday night.  Then, the party and Stamp Camp on Saturday and time just got away from me.  So...you get all of my stamp camp projects today :-)  Hope you like them...let me know by commenting :-)

Okay, now the samples from Stamp Camp.  Oh wait!  I need to show you some Baubles first.  Here is one on my zipper pull of my Stampin' Up! jacket.  I love it.

Okay, REALLY, here are the Stamp Camp photos

I had the Stamp Camp in my home so I had my camera and took pictures.  Usually, it's not at my house and I never seem to have my camera.

Here's Jo, Elizabeth, Joyce and Tina having a good time stampin'.

 

Here's Beryl, Aleithe, Matt (special guest) and girlfriend Rachael.  It was Matt's first time stamping and he had a blast.  Stampin' is not just for girls!

And here are the projects that everyone made.  This one is from the FREE SAB set "Punch Bunch."  The white accents are from the Shimmer Paint.  The entire Stamp Camp was either Shimmer Paper, Shimmer Paint, Glitter or some kind of BLING.  woo hoo.  You can't really tell here but the white dots were very pearly and shiny when dry.  We used the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Textured Embossing Folder.

 

This one uses the 'Flower Fancy' stamp set and the Champagne Glitter Glass.  This is a 2-step stampin' set.  It's one of my favorites.  Sentiment is from 'Teeny Tiny Wishes.'  Also used: Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch.
 

Love this brigh color...Poppy Parade.  This fabulous stamp set is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and it's got a matching punch.  Stamp set is "Build a Blossom" and the punch is "Build a Blossom Punch."  LOVE both of these and the possibilities are endless of what can be done with them.  Oval and Large Oval Punch and Glimmer Brad accessories are also used.  Sentiments is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes."
 

Recognize the flower punch?  It's the Circle Scallop Punch and each petal is cut to the middle of the circle to creat the 3-d look of a real flower.  Cool huh?  This set is the "Bold Blossom" set of 4 from the Occasions Mini catlaog.  The buttons are the Designer Big Buttons 'Sweet Stitches' from the Occasions Mini also.  I sure am going to miss this mini catalog after April.  The sentiment is part of the set of 4.
 

The last project was a 3-d coaster calendar with magnets applied to the back to put on a file cabinet or fridge.  The DSP here is retired (GASP) but everyone last night used the Springtime Vintage DSP from the Occasions Mini catalog and they were beautiful.  I forgot to snap some photos of those.  sorry

Flower Fancy - I fancy this set

Flower Fancy is one of my favorite stamp sets and yet we do not use it very often.  Why is that? I don't know.  But, I do know that it's on my shelf when I want to use it and that is comforting.  I have a ton of samples with this set and this is one from LC in January.  We'll be making this card on Saturday night, if you're coming to my Stamp Camp.  It uses the FLower Fancy stamp set, Glitter Glass and you'll put your greeting of choice in the oval (left blank here).  This is 2-step stampin', which is great.  You stamp the outline and then step a 2nd time with the 'filler' to complete the look.  Stampin' Up! has so many wonderful 2-step stampin' sets and they are so easy and fast when you want a card in a snap.  Hope you like it.  I think this would make a great Easter card...just brighten up the colors a bit.  The Shimmery White Cardstock makes it extra special.
