Simply Scored and Diagonal - Easter Favor

Using the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored and Diagonal Plate to make this favor is a breeze.  You could modify the little flag for any event or even use it as a name card/place setting.  Take a 6x6 piece of cardstock and score at 2" and 4" on all sides.  Then using the Diagonal Plate, score each corner from the edge of the corner to the first score line.  Do this on all 4 corners.  Then reinforce each score line with your bone folder.  Take the corners and bend them in towards the middle of the basket and punch through both layers at once with a hole punch.  Once all 4 corners are punched, put ribbon through all 4 corners and bunch up into the middle and tie into knot.  On a scrap of white cs, stamp with Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punch out with Petites Pennant Builder Punch.  Take coordinating color cardstock and punch with the decorative side of the Pennant Punch.  Adhere to skewer with glue dots.  Fill basket with choice of candy and stick skewer into center. We used the Specialty DSP, Sweet Shop, to punch various shapes and adhere to outside of basket.  Isn't it darling? 

St. Patrick's Day Pop-Up and Spring Butterfly Card

Here are 2 cards we made for club last night.  The ladies loved them.  The St Patrick's Day is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the inside 'Celebrate' is from the Outline Occasions set in the Sale-a-brations(SAB) catalog.  The butterfly card is from the Fresh Vintage set in the Sale-a-bration catalog. 

One of these days I'm going to get into the video/tutorial world and then I could just send you to my video to watch me make my cards.  But I'm just not there YET.

The Square Lattice Embossing folder was used with the Big Shot Machine to create the textured background and it's done with a piece of 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 piece of Vellum Cardstock.  It's such a cool affect when it turns the raised portion of the vellum to white.  We heat embossed the St. Patrick's Day by stamping with Garden Green Craft ink and then covering with Clear Embossing Powder and then heat seting with our heat gun. Then flip it over and use our coordinating Stamin' Write Markers to color inside the outlined words.  It looks messy when you're coloring but when you flip it back to the right side, it's beautiful.  This technique of coloring is called Stained Glass.  After coloring the vellum, we used the Labels Collection Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the St. Patrick's Day image and the next size up for the mat behind it.  We used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the vellum to weave the new 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon through.  The colors used on this card are Lucky Limeade (new In-color) and Garden Green.

Simply Scored, Window Sheets, Sticky Strip, and Heart to Heart punch were used to pop the hearts up.

The colors for the butterfly card are inspired from the flowers blooming in my front yard this week!  Last night snow....not much but the flowers are confused.  The daffodils are budding and the tulips are coming up.  We are having crazy weather.  

This card layout is inspired from my sister Donna.  Thanks sis.  As demonstrators and sisters, we love sharing ideas with each other and, it keeps us close even though we're hundreds of miles apart.

Wonderful Wings Embosslit, Big Shot, Fresh Vintage stamp set. Pearls for the big butterfly. Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker.  It's hard to see that we colored in the flowers and dots with the marker, which pulls the colors together nicely.  Concord Crush is an in-color that will be going away in a few months.  I will miss it.

Holiday/Christmas Stocking

Yes, I said Christmas.  It's not too early to be thinking about it.  I've sent out registration forms for my Christmas classes from August - November.  I'm excited that you've already signed up for several classes.  Thanks!

Here is a project that my team of Stampers with Sparkle made at our meeting Saturday.  Can you say upcoming Holiday Mini surprise :-)  They demoed this at convention and this from memory.  I think it's close.  Even if it isn't, I love it.  What fun presents these will be for my neighbors and co-workers and fun little hostess gifts too.  If you haven't booked a party with me Sep - Jan 3, now is the time to book one.  There are so many great things in this mini, you are going to WANT IT ALL!  Look at those cute accessories ;-)

You can't really see how shimmery the top, toe and heal of the stocking are.  I used the beautiful Shimmery White Cardstock for those parts...simply shimmering.
