Mixed Bunch with Punch

I love flowers and I love punches so I really love this card.  I paired Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler cs and ink and I really like them together.  Who would have thunk it?

This was another Stamp Camp project from last weekend.  We embossed with Versa Mark onto the Vellum cs and sprinkled white embossing powder over the image.  Heated with heat gun and viola.  Then we punched with the Blossom punch (that perfectly matches all the flowers in the Mixed Bunch stamp set).  We punched another flower with Cherry Cobbler cs with just the punch and offset one on top of the other and punched a hole in the middle with the Mat Pack and Paper Piercer. Then we used a In-Color Brad to finish the flower.  We stamped the background stamp with Versa Mark and stamped on the Lucky Limeade cs to creat interest for a background.  Then we used Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the LL cs to add a dimensioned finishing touch.  A little "Hello" at the bottom finishes it up.  It's a note card for any occasion.

St. Patrick's Day Pop-Up and Spring Butterfly Card

Here are 2 cards we made for club last night.  The ladies loved them.  The St Patrick's Day is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the inside 'Celebrate' is from the Outline Occasions set in the Sale-a-brations(SAB) catalog.  The butterfly card is from the Fresh Vintage set in the Sale-a-bration catalog. 

One of these days I'm going to get into the video/tutorial world and then I could just send you to my video to watch me make my cards.  But I'm just not there YET.

The Square Lattice Embossing folder was used with the Big Shot Machine to create the textured background and it's done with a piece of 5 1/8 x 3 7/8 piece of Vellum Cardstock.  It's such a cool affect when it turns the raised portion of the vellum to white.  We heat embossed the St. Patrick's Day by stamping with Garden Green Craft ink and then covering with Clear Embossing Powder and then heat seting with our heat gun. Then flip it over and use our coordinating Stamin' Write Markers to color inside the outlined words.  It looks messy when you're coloring but when you flip it back to the right side, it's beautiful.  This technique of coloring is called Stained Glass.  After coloring the vellum, we used the Labels Collection Framelits and the Big Shot to cut out the St. Patrick's Day image and the next size up for the mat behind it.  We used the Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the vellum to weave the new 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon through.  The colors used on this card are Lucky Limeade (new In-color) and Garden Green.

Simply Scored, Window Sheets, Sticky Strip, and Heart to Heart punch were used to pop the hearts up.

The colors for the butterfly card are inspired from the flowers blooming in my front yard this week!  Last night snow....not much but the flowers are confused.  The daffodils are budding and the tulips are coming up.  We are having crazy weather.  

This card layout is inspired from my sister Donna.  Thanks sis.  As demonstrators and sisters, we love sharing ideas with each other and, it keeps us close even though we're hundreds of miles apart.

Wonderful Wings Embosslit, Big Shot, Fresh Vintage stamp set. Pearls for the big butterfly. Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker.  It's hard to see that we colored in the flowers and dots with the marker, which pulls the colors together nicely.  Concord Crush is an in-color that will be going away in a few months.  I will miss it.

Poppy Parade and Gray

Isn't this a pretty color combination.  The butterfly is stamped in craft white ink on vellum and then embossed with white embossing powder and then use heat gun.  Everyday Enchantment DSP, Fresh Vintage and Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp sets.

This card was inspired by Sharon J.  She used the Big Shot butterfly on hers but I used the stamp set from the Occasions Mini - 'Great Friend.'  I think this is a beautiful butterfly...have I said that before?  It uses the 'Walk in the Park' Designer Series Paper from the mini also.  Remember, you get a FREE pack of Designer Series Papers this month when you purchase 3.  The cardstock is Going Gray, Apricot Appeal, and Tangerine Tango (a soon to be retired 'in-color').  The ink is Tangerine Tango and Basic Gray.

 

This card was sent to me from Stampin' Up! as an invitation for Mike and I to have dinner with the president of Stampin' Up! while in Hawaii, on the incentive trip.  I thought it was so pretty and knew I'd have to CASE it.  I thought I had posted it before but can't find it.  Pardon any duplication :-) It's made with the BIG SHOT and Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper, Kiwi Kiss cardstock and ink and Baja Breeze cardstock and ink.  The BIG SHOT dies are the Stampin' Up! exclusive Beautiful Butterflies and the Clear Circle.  The satin ribbon is from the "Valet" Ribbon Originals.  The Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla is also beautiful on this card (that's originally what was on it but I had to borrow it). LOL

 

This is such a 'me' card.  It's one of my favorites.  We made it at Stamp Camp in May and I think it was everyone's favorite.  It's made with the BIG SHOT and the dies are the Scallop Circle and Stampin' Up! exclusive Manhattan FLower.  The dress is made with Pretty in Pink cardstock and then the embossed Vellum lays right on top.  The ribbon holds the vellum in place with just a little Snail adhesive holding the vellum to the cardstock. The stamp set is 'Classy and Fabulous' on page 51.  The saying here is 'A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous - Coco Chanel.' The ribbon is the 'Pretty in Pink' Taffeta Ribbon.  Cardstock is also Pretty in Pink and Basic Black.  We scalloped the bottom with the 'Eyelet' Border punch.

 

This is a 'Ruth Original' made for Father's Day.  Mike is always saying he's the 'King' (of what I don't know) and this Designer Series Paper (DSP) with the crowns was perfect for him.  The stamp set is from the Occasions Mini catalog, page 20 "And Many Mower."  It's such a great manly stamp set and so versatile.  The DSP is the 'Rockabilly Specialty' paper.  You can't tell but the kiwi kiss is glossy.  Really cute paper.  It uses Basic Black classic ink for the images and the Basic Black craft ink to color the Chipboard star.
